They made an "erotic BDSM movie", if they were not prepared for sex questions during the press tour, its their fault!

reply

Good article. Brought up some interesting points.
Do believe the next press tour(s) will b better.

reply

Should be better...they both know what to expect...and hopefully there will not be the same old sex questions..they seemed more natural with each other in the trailers.

reply

No, the reason for it is all the HYPE for the first film that was way out of proportion to the QUALITY and story the first director made, who, by the way, was FAMOUS for good work... and possibly into the, cough, lifestyle herself being married to a man in his 20s while she's in her late 40s. But it was that people were DISAPPOINTED in the first film if you ask me and are rejecting these two others.

I agree but I don't think it will Dakota and Jamie's fault. People lack common sense when it comes to doing interviews about highly anticipated movies. It's like when Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner was on a talk show and was asked if they liked each other in real life since their character's were enemies in the movie. Of course they were acting, but still people wanted to hear it from Robert and Taylor that they liked each other in real life. Tyra Banks even made Robert bite her neck when she had him on her show

When Jamie and Dakota did their first video interview together, they weren't use to it and Dakota belted out "Jamie has a fluffer" when the interviewer asked them how they prepare for scenes. They could have laughed it off and moved on but the person giving the interview had to ask what a fluffer was which made things more awkward than what they could have been. Then there's the talk shows where Dakota had to say random words in a sexy voice and Jamie had to read parts of the book in various accents.

There's a video of Jamie at a premiere before Fifty Shades of Grey was released where a guy apparently asked Jamie to tell his son he's never allowed to watch Fifty Shades of Grey. The kid obviously had no idea who Jamie was and didn't really seem to care. People are dumb when it comes to high profile movies and the actor's have to awkwardly go through each dumb thing that get's thrown at them then gets criticized when they don't deal with it the way people expects them to.

Talk show get actors to go do silly things all the time, its how they handle is entertaining, will they have good instincts and go with the flow, improv as it called or will they just be awkward as hell!

reply

Amen to everything you posted...a sense of humor goes a long way...I remember all the flak when Dakota's parents were asked if they had seen the film..they seemed embarrassed...what were they supposed to say?..and then I remember when Dakota was asked the same question, she said "no, I wouldn't want to see them naked either"..so again, they will be better prepared this time, and have had more time to spend with one another..

That's what was so great about it, two stars who have starred in very erotic movies themselves being asked about their own daughter's erotic movie LOL! Looking forward to more awkwardness!

Why do they give so much away with the trailers?

...which is why I don't watch the trailers.

Oh and another thing I didn't mention was when Jamie was doing a interview and they went down a list of whether he liked this or that. One of the questions was "beard or no beard?" He had a thick beard when doing the interview so it was a completely dumb question to ask.

No it wasn't, actors change their appearance for movies all the time, so for all the interviewer knew, the beard was for another movie he was filming!

Actors change their appearance for movies all the time, they have to shave their head or grow a goatee or gain weight etc, so how was the reporter to know that a beard is his preferred choice?

So yeah i'm right about this, sorry your poor Jamie got ask such belittling questions, what were you expecting?

"How did you become such a great actor?"
