Is this silly and far fetched like WC2?

If so, I'm not going to ever bother with it. It should be brutal and realistic like the original film.

Maybe not as brutal as the first movie, but not as silly as wolf creek 2. I would say skip season 1 and watch season 2. They both stand on their own. The first season starts to drag by episode 4 and it's only 6 episodes long.

The TV series has obvious supernatural elements.

The original movie did as well, but that's up for debate.
