Was it absolutely confirmed that Simon was killed and the actor won't be back next season? Honestly, he is the only reason I continued watching until the end of season 1. I found myself yelling "shut up!!" at Alex and Shelby every time they had some lines that showed off their self-righteousness. I want Simon to be back because I liked his character, but then another part of me wants the actor to move on since this show will probably get cancelled due to bad writing and acting. I have never seen so many characters become unlikeable during the course of one season. I found Caleb unbearable during the first episode, but his character and Raina are the only ones I would care about next season. I hate that the writers would think to have Caleb still love Shelby after the last episode flashback showed her making his parents not show up to the graduation. I think she may be the worst character on this show, but she certainly has competition from Alex and Ryan.

You probably don't know this, but Caleb hasn't been confirmed for Season Two and filming is under way, so he's probably not coming back.

Well if he's not back, there goes the possibility of me watching season 2. I read that the actor who plays Simon was cast for a stint on Shameless which means he might not be back either. I wonder how they expect to keep viewers with few likable characters.

No, he opened the windows so the car would fill with water faster, and sink at a faster rate.

Do you really think that falling off a bridge, hitting the water, with the seat belt on he can swim out?

Well, I will give you a small chance of being right. He could try to swim out however the the reason was to get water into the car so it can sink faster.

No idea, but he was my favorite character, too. In fairness, there were several episodes that Simon wasn't in during the season and I generally still enjoyed the show. But whenever Simon showed up, it made me pay more attention. I know what you mean about characters becoming unlikable. Early on, I disliked both Caleb and Natalie and Caleb ended up being one of my favorites and Natalie became likable. While I liked Booth and Shelby in the beginning, but began to really dislike both of them as Season 1 wore on.

Even if you like the character and want him to come back, let's be real here, any explanation as to how he could possibly have survived would be an absolutely ridiculous crock of *beep* and you would hate the show for even daring to try something like that.

i just got into this show and i find his character interesting. and sexy. if he's not in season 2, i won't be watching too

I have to admit i was gutted by his death, he was one of my favourite characters and i really wanted him and Raina to get together like they undoubtedly would have if not for Nimah, simon gave the show character and without him i don't think it will be the same at all.

Yeah, it burns me, but I'm still watching. But they are already inserting so many new characters and pushing the Season 1 mains by the wayside. So far it's Alex, Booth, and a bunch of newbies.
