I just binge watched the entire series in the last three days.
What was Alex hiding under the carpet in her bedroom before she leaves for Quantico. It looked like a plastic baggie that she took with her.
When Alex's mother talks to the FBI when Alex is on the run for the Grand Central bombing, she says that Alex was missing one of the ten years she was with relatives in Mumbai. Was this ever explained?

No it was not explained and they never revisited the item she hid in her room.
shareI thought the item she hid under the carpet was her plane ticket. After her mom sees her off, she tells the taxi driver to go to the airport and crumples up her train ticket.

Okay, forget what I said actually. When I posted that comment, I'd only seen about the first 15 minutes of the first episode. I started watching recently on Netflix, and later in the episode we see her hiding the packet under her mattress in the dorm. So, I've no idea what it was, lol.
