The Movie Database (TMDb) is a community built movie and TV database, with every piece of data having been added by its community dating back to 2008.
Not only can you rate movies, write reviews, make lists, favourite your films but discuss them too, each movie has its own forum, just like IMDb.

You can also easily import your movie ratings from IMDb to TMDb!
It's not a perfect fit but with some work it could work. Format is there, the discussions are just light on topics. It's the closest thing of all the suggestions I've seen so far.
I will be dropping imdb the moment the message boards go as I see no use for it without it. Best to all of you!
agreed, signed up there same day as I read IMDb is shutting down forums, because I have no reason to stay here without forums, already moved my watchlist and ratings to TMDb and using it every day, though not much discussions yet, need more people, hopefully more people will join when IMDb will shutdown forums on 20th
