I'm convinced. The writing is so ridiculous and juvenile in this show. It must be written by the daughter or niece of some executive who forced her into the production of this show. Notwithstanding the distracting Denzel-mini-me impersonation which I might be willing to live with under normal circumstances, I'm fine with suspending reality for a plot. I can even get by with ignoring holes even major holes in a plot, for an otherwise good production.

That is not the problem. The problem is the totally saccharine characters (Caricatures) and relationships that are not just a stretch from reality but are just some forced drivel that has no basis in human nature. Personally I just want to shoot the old couple. Anyone that talks to each other like that SHOULD be cordoned from normal people. And while I might otherwise object to people killing themselves and portraying it as some beautiful moment, this was a mercy killing for US - the viewers. Please now kill off everyone else. Oh wait it was cancelled - close enough. Thank You !
