It shows the intricacies of family, relationships...life. Well acted, well directed...the lead character Nova is portrayed beautifully. I loved the scenes on the farm land and in the city of New Orleans. The architecture is so unique. I loved the way it's shot with such muted colors. The child actors (who play Blue and Micah) are awesome! I. Loved. It. Can't say enough about it.

I liked the pilot so much as I purchased the book Queen Sugar
