I can't believe more people are not talking about her performance. Charley is my favorite character, and I think Dawn is brilliant. Great character development from the writers and she delivered each episode. I hope she gets some award recognition for her acting in the 2017 awards season. That finale episode alone, had me wanting to give her an Emmy. Great breakout role.

shareI don't think this show as a whole receives the recognition it is due. It is sublime and yes I agree......her acting during the last episode was superb. The entire cast are great IMO.

shareIt sucks that she has gotten no individual award nominations from the Image Awards, SAG, or Golden Globes. Rutina and Kofi got nominations for Image Awards, but she didn't. Maybe the Emmys will acknowledge her, but that's far fetched seeing as though SAG and Golden Globes didn't nominate Queen Sugar at all.

I so agree! They are very good about noticing shows that don't get a lot of shine elsewhere, but still they nominate the same "popular" people. It is one of my favorite award shows, but I think they do it because they need the views. Anyway, I think she had a better performance than Rutina by far & she could have easily taken the nomination spots of a couple of those actresses whose shows are more hype than anything at this point.
