Overstuffed but good

This is as close as Mike Mills gets to any sort of standard drama, though. 20th Century Women has no interest in forcing characters into pre-defined arcs. The auteur is merely interested in the minutiae of one summer and the lengths that we go to preserve those fleeting, perfect moments. For Dorothea, Jamie, Julie, Abbie, and handyman William (Billy Crudup), that one perfect moment is the summer of 1979. http://www.cutprintfilm.com/reviews/20th-century-women/

I like Mike Mills. I might consider checking this one out.
