Why is it TV-MA?
I'd really love to know why. I couldn't find the information anywhere :(
shareI think it's cause they dropped the F bomb, a show can only do that if it's rated MA
"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story"
Last night they were talking about abortions they've had like it was no big deal. Does that give you an idea of why it's TV-MA?

I was only responding to the inquiry why this show was rated only for mature audiences. I wasn't getting into the nuances of the scene. You 'don't know what [I] saw', and I don't know why you are going on the attack in this thread. Start another thread if you want to explore the depths of that scene.

I liked that scene because it showed that Sam seems to have a pretty great support system with close friends, she that she includes her daughters in the get-together, and her friends care about her daughter. Her ex-husband is apparently a deadbeat, her mother can be a handful, and she may not have any more close relative but she probably considers those friends to be family. Also surprised to see Diedrich Bader.

I believe it's because of profanity and mature topics, like abortion and the overall feel of the show. As a teenager, I feel you can't catch all the jokes unless you are, indeed, a mature adult. If it was on a network like Comedy Central it would probably be TV-14 instead.
