What teenage girl wants to go to a Joe Walsh concert?
I just found that too unbelievable.
shareNot unbelievable at all. My teenaged daughters would be thrilled to go. They were raised on classic rock.
shareI don't know how old you are, but young people are capable of appreciating music regardless of when it was released. I was born in 94 and I'm a completist so I listen to everything from Lefty Frizzell to the Velvet Undergound to Drake. What I find more unbelievable is why anyone would be that excited about joe Walsh because, lets face it, even if his bland music ever resembled quality it hasn't aged well.
What she asked of me at the end of the day, Caligula would have blushed." - Morrissey
Not the slightest bit unbelievable.
Sure, the majority of the audience would be (and was here, I think?) mostly older people, but I meet kids and teenagers all the time who seem to have made almost weird attachments to old and sometimes even obscure bands and performers. I guarantee if you went on tour with Joe Walsh, there wouldn't be one single show where you couldn't find at least a couple of teenage girls.
IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.

Really? Why would you think that? From the time I was 16 until I got married at 23, I saw Joe Walsh in concert more than any other musician. I can't tell you how many times I went to his shows and it was for the music. Always for the music. James Gang, Eagles, and for his solo stuff - I liked all of it. I'm closer in age to Pamela Adlon but if I had daughters, they'd have grown up listening to his music too so it's not so unheard of for teenage girls now to be fans.
"Everything they do is so dramatic and flamboyant. It just makes me want to set myself on fire!"
Well to be fair, the script probably just called for a "generic rock star character" and when they were casting the show Joe Walsh was somebody within their budget who was willing to do it.
shareTo Cobb & Hugh:
Sometimes it's freaking unbelievable that so many ignorant people show their asses on these boards. To 'dis Joe Walsh is just stupid, judgemental, closed-minded, naive and ignorant. Not all young people go for the crap record companies sell (and make millions) as so-called music today, don't have to be "cool". Translation, since you'll probably need it -- not everyone likes rap. Some young people grow up listening to many genres and are educated, open-minded and sophisticated in their musical taste and appreciation.
Enough adjectives for you?
From Wikipedia:
In a career spanning more than 40 years, Walsh has been a member of five successful rock bands: James Gang, Barnstorm, the EAGLES, The Party Boys, and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. In the 1990s, he was also a member of the short-lived supergroup The Best.

I took my then teenaged children to see Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Chicago, The Who and others I cannot think of right now.
They have pre-teens and still have the music of my generation on their playlists.
