I wasn't able to see the first few eps and now they're gone from On Demand. I think the first episode I watched was #3. I'm just curious what happened to dad - if they show him or if not, if they tell us what happened to him. He's not been mentioned in any of the episodes I've watched. She was trying to get rid of a table in Hair of the Dog and I'm curious about that too. Any help is appreciated.

You should rewatch Ep.7, the only episode the dad appears.

The dad only appears in episode 6 (not 7) when they meet at the restaurant, so you've probably seen that episode. Until that point, we knew from an argument in episode two that he "lives better" than Sam does and that Sam is "paying for all of it!". No details have been given about why they split and the table has never been mentioned before.
