How can a doctor decide she's still fertile just by looking at her?

Sorry, only saw first two episodes.

Her GC meets with her in the exam room and just after a few minutes her doctor deems her still capable of conceiving and bearing children at her age.

Sorry, but this just astounds me. I really don't think a doctor can do that without testing eggs etc properly, etc.

The woman is fifty years old this year. I hardly think that's realistic.

They probably didn't show the 2 blood tests that have to be done as well as the internal and external ultra sounds to check that the fallopian tube's are healthy and open, as well as the health of the ovaries, and the thickness of the uterine wall as well as the amount of uterine mucus. My best friend, and my cousin, as well as myself recently went through this, and it is not done by a simple GYN exam.

Just to give our ages when we had these tests, I just had it done a few months ago, a month before my 38th birthday, my cousin-in-law was 35 when she had it, and my friend was 33 years old. Both my friend and cousin-in-law had family history of infertility, and both had to go through IVF after both having 5+ miscarriages. Both my friend and cousin-in-law successfully conceived. My friend had one child, and my cousin-in-law had twins.

The OP is the perfect example of someone that should just stick to simple TV. Not everything needs to be explained.
