First episode

Was pretty bad. Nothing in it was new or compelling. The cast is ok, but the premise and writing are very generic. I'll give it a couple of eps to see of the develop the characters and premise a bit.

Ho hum. Teetering already.

I liked it but maybe I was just glad to see Gary back on TV. LOL

I like the chemistry with the cast as well.

Knowing what the show is supposed to be about, what in your eyes would make it new & compelling(just curious)? Now keep in mind this is regular broadcast tv-so the budget is an issue. For me the idea they will be going to different countries, & needing to know the "customs" makes it interesting. And I know not all of it will be accurate.

This series will just play on xenophobia and how all the other backlot countries are 10,20,100 years behind the West. And why in the world someone would leave the "safe place". If they keep up this abrasive vibe, this will end soon.

The last series who - at least tried - to paint other countries in good light was Covert Affairs. And there they actually filmed in the other countries.

Liked the cast, especially Sinese and de la Garza, but thought the plot and dialogue were atrocious. Not xenophobic but having spent a great deal of time in Asia, ridiculous to think there would be any cooperation or as many fluent English speakers, etc. hope it gets more realistic.
