Criminal minds should of...

So criminal minds shot of bought the rights to Gary sinse's character in csi because I think everyone is just going to see him as Mac Taylor

reply

Totally! That would have been smart. He plays the character pretty much the same, but how could he not, that's just Gary Sinise. The differen between csi to behavior analyst wouldn't be that far of a stretch for someone to switch to. It could have been a doable stretch. I'll have a hard time remembering I'm not watching csi when this show starts!

reply

It's a different show, different universe. They would have had to pay use character name, which would not make sense.

That was a preempted sh! Just know I have a whole bag of sh! with your name on it.

reply

Bahaha! They should have just named him Mac Taylor and said that he left NY to work in Quantico with the Feds.

Agreed. Catherine from the original CSI left to work with the feds, so it's not that big of a stretch.

Though her job with the Fed's was just more CSI-type stuff. She didn't just go from the head of a crime lab to a specially-trained FBI profiler.

Mac was a highly capable individual. It could have been explained especially since so much time had gone by. TV cop shows do far more outrageous stuff as far as job duties- e.g. "transferring" from one state to another and keeping rank or position, going from detective to Captain and skipping Sergeant and Lieutenant.

Some of us have never watched him in that show so no confusion!

reply

Considering how many Oscar nominated movies he has been in, not necessarily.

"should've (short for "should have" and never "should of")

That's right, I'm your local grammar police. Actually, I'm an old, used English teacher.

And of course, you're totally right. I know I'll be calling him Mac Taylor until my wife corrects me. But then that's pretty much constantly.

Hi, ed, I'm an old, used proofreader. This board will drive you crazy. I have mostly learned to let it flow over me; however, sometimes I will quote another poster and correct the errors in the quote, or fix the subject line.

Gary Sinise will always be 'Lieutenant Dan' to me!

Not everyone. Some of us are capable of moving past that.
