This has to be one of the worst premiers in years!

I think the show was horrible! The clown with the sticks-kidnapped and killed the male, and chased the females through the jungle even after one female hurt her ankle! The asclown still had a hard time capturing them. How he got both is amazing. Now after he somehow got them, what is he going to do?? The grand finale is him committing hari-kari! GOD I hope future shows are better than this turkey! The acting was also bad. I sure this show got high ratings, but I can't see it lasting!

You may be right, I might be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you are looking for!

Is that what happened? I turned this off after 45 minutes. Reading the reviews, it looks I'm spared another crisp show.

The male was killed quickly, branded, then his body concealed. The two girls were captured, held prisoner and tortured before being loosed and told to run.

The clown still had a hard time capturing them. How he got both is amazing. Now after he somehow got them, what is he going to do??

He was hunting them; that was the point. There were traps and pitfalls in the area and one girl was injured. They ran after stunning him, only to find themselves back at the place they had been imprisoned. Again, he told them to run.

The grand finale is him committing hari-kari! GOD I hope future shows are better than this turkey! The acting was also bad. I sure this show got high ratings, but I can't see it lasting!

This is the correct definition of hari kari: ritual suicide by self-disembowelment on a sword; practiced by samurai in the traditional Japanese society.

The man in Thailand ended his life by slitting his throat, severing the carotid artery and the jugular vein.

Clearly you didn't watch that closely. Try doing that on the next episode, it might make more sense.

I don't think he/she cared about what the exact definition of hari kari is. the point he/she was making is that it was stupid. I don't know why you had to bring the technical definition of hari kari into the argument when hari kari and the slitting of the throat on the show are both considered suicide. Were you just looking for something to clown original poster for?

The point I was making was that, in the context of the Thai culture, which was explained in the dialogue, his suicide was not stupid, and that different cultures view death differently.

I was also making the point that posts that simply pronounce things 'stupid' or 'idiotic' or 'a turkey' are vague emotional responses with no thought behind them. Tell us why you think this show is 'stupid', give us a reason.

This is a discussion board, not an insult board. Just tossing out expletives isn't interesting.

Edit:
I'm the only poster on this exchange that did not use the word 'clown', or in his/her case, 'a$$clown'; so could we skip the insults and focus on opinions and thoughts?

I did give reasons why I thought this was a horrible show. The guy with sticks on his face was laughable. His actions were pathetic how was he going to keep 2 females tied up for a period of time? Then the assclown killed himself-he could have saved us his actions by just killing himself to begin with!

In our culture, yes. In his culture, no; he was acting in a ritual, albeit murderous, way.

From my observation, he captured, released and hunted them quite efficiently.

Then the a$$clown killed himself - he could have saved us his actions by just killing himself to begin with!

Then it would have been a much shorter TV show.

This show is going to a different locale and culture every week. I am hoping that it will showcase different cultures in a way that helps humanity to think more globally. What is it like to go to a country where people think differently? What commonalities do we still share? What causes other humans, in any culture, to kill?

I hope you continue to watch with an open mind.
