Things that didn't make sense last night

First, the unsub's husband was hurt from being gassed by police, so he commits suicide with police tear gas. What the hell.

Then the police fails to realize that there is a big splatter of blood on the back of the car, just because there is a bit of sand over it. C'mon. I can almost see the writer talking about a very small drop of blood that could have escaped them if they had their attention elsewhere and the producer/director/whatever forcing them to put a big stain of blood just in case viewers are too stupid to get it. Or maybe I'm giving the writer too much credit.

Then the last Egyptian victim is gassed by the Egyptian unsub in an Egyptian mosque in the middle of the Egyptian capital. And he calls for help in English. Please, are you really fearing that ONE line of subtitles is going to scare away your audience? (not that leaving it unsubtitled would have been much of a problem - a gassed guy cussing like crazy looks like a gassed guy cussing like crazy in every language).

It would have been so easy to avoid this. At most, the first point would have required a minute to figure out another way to link the gas victim and the photographer. I'm sure it wouldn't been that hard.
