have a stroke and so they're trying cover it by making her character constantly drunk? Not to be mean, I think she's great in this.

In the first episode she is never seen without a glass of white wine in her hand--it's even at her nightstand. After Lennie's arrival and the ensuing antics through the next five episodes I don't believe Elaine May is ever seen with said glass of white wine.

The entire show is depressing.
