Nice surprise in these days of reality junk shows. Scripted dramas are few and far between especially a good one. I have turned to CDC and BBC to find new treasures such as Murdoch Mysteries, Game Of Thrones, MI-5 and Line Of Duty. Have enjoyed the first few episodes and I hope this show will only get better and be around for awhile.

I am liking other period pieces that I'm watching on either PBS or vision, or both...
like down town abby...i'll admit though I dont' watch all the eppies, but I do have season five on dvd..
there's call the midwife...

a few others that I can't remember, that I kind of like......
as well as new ones, like father brown.....
and death in paradise is hilarious...but that's in the here and now....
but, there's a new one coming up...taht's going to play on vision for me.....called the great fire......but that's only a few eppies..
yeah, it seems that lately I'd rather watch either Canadian or british series, and all that...
and motive is going to start a new season...tomorrow.....Murdoch like you say is great..
remedy's coming up real soon......and 19-2 is absolutely wonderful....
we so need to toot our own horn more...
and I am watching master chef Canada, on a regular basis.....I've never seen the American version....and all that...so

I find it mediocre. The writing in particular is uninspired. Some of the acting is quite wooden. Hugh Dillon does his one-note schtick, continuing to be inauthentic saying or doing anything. I had hoped for better, but I'm not feeling engaged. I don't care what happens to any of the characters other than Alfred. Which is not enough for me.
