Excellent show.

I didn't miss Canadian actors speaking German, but they aren't speaking as German characters. Gotta hand it to the language coaches, though, that despite the accents the actors are easily understandable.

I'm a third generation Canadian of German extraction. Our family still has connections to relatives in Germany (ancestral village is Querbach, Baden-Württemberg)and family members from both sides of the Atlantic travel back and forth for visits or major functions, such as Querbach's 650th anniversary in 2011. I was fluent in German as my second language as a child until going to English language schools required I use it less, until I eventually lost it just from lack of use. I still understand quite a bit but unfortunately the speaking skill is gone.
