I generally like animated comedy, but don't see the humor in this at all. I watched 3 episodes to give it a try, but didn't get one chuckle. Swearing doesn't equal humor.

I get what people are saying - "oh this is how I grew up" etc (and this is exactly how I grew up pretty much) but its only funny when you're looking back at your own life and memories - do you remember going to a friends house and them getting ripped to pieces by their parents for getting a detention - this show is that feeling. Embarrassing, uncomfortable, and just not funny!

There's some mass shilling going on, IMO. Before people call me paranoid, just know that shilling has gotten so much worse over the past year and a half, with some shows at the IMDB gaining a solid score of between 9.0 and 10 a week before they debut (and no, they weren't prescreened to audiences, either). So the 8.6 doesn't surprise me the least bit.

Do you have proof of this statement? Facts? Figures? Any kind of study? Or is it just you in your brain not being able to accept people liking things you dislike? I enjoyed this show. I was disappointed the first season was only 6 episodes. I grew up a little after this time, but can totally relate to it. Maybe you can't and that is 100% fine. But that doesn't mean anyone who likes this is a fake. It just means you can't handle differing opinions. That is your issue. Please work on it.

I don't see why it matters what other people think. You didn't like the show and that is fine. Other people did. No one is wrong. Why does it matter to you so much what other people think? Are you a sheep?

I love Bill Burr's stand up comedy, but this show didn't do it for me. I get the impression the whole theme of the show is 'look how different life was in the early 70s, the non-PC stuff you could say' but that isn't really enough to keep a show going.

Bill doesn't need to explain the show to you. Either you like it or you don't. He obviously likes it otherwise he wouldn't be producing it or voicing the main character. share

I found some of it funny, but I like. It feels like a hybrid of family guy and king of the hill. And I like it for it's "story" I guess you could put it.
