...cast anyone other than Kevin Conroy to play the part of Batman, when Conroy is available? It also seems bizarre, and slightly twisted, to cast him in a Batman movie if he's not going to play the main part.
shareIt is odd. I might need to watch this movie to know for sure why they'd cast Conroy as someone other than Batman in this. It's to me, a disservice to the fans to put him as some kind of easter egg side character in a batman movie like that. It's not like he can't pitch up his voice to sound younger if they need him to play younger batman. He's a professional voice actor.
shareI suppose it was for continuity with Son of Batman (2014), but if the production team think the fans care about that more than having Conroy in the central role, then they're seriously out of touch.
shareYou've hit it. This is in continuity with that film (as well as War and Throne of Atlantis) so we're stuck with Jason O'Mara, who I've been ok with but does his worst work in this one. The Conroy thing was basically meant as an easter egg for fans and little else.
