9/10, Very good, I enjoyed it so much more than Son of Batman.
In terms of Batman animated movies, this comes after The Dark Knight Returns, and a little after Under the Red Hood, but is very much superior to things like Son of Batman or Year One, etc.
-Very good action.
-Very mysterious.
-Good world-building
-Very good character building.
-A very creepy villain and a very cool villain, both original and not the same rehashed villain for the 80th time.
-Lots of Nightwing love.
-Alfred was awesome.
-Very intense action scenes. Graphic and bloody.
And the title is misleading, as it is more Batman ideals vs. Robin's internal struggle. They only actually fight for a very small scene in which Batman is very obviously pulling all of his punches.
I would have preferred the inclusion of Babs, Jason and the politicians from the comic arch, but they melted together several comic story lines together in a very good way.
The cave scene was awesome in many different ways.
9/10. Old Batman fans will probably hate it though, they get grumpy with change.
This movie is for us younger fans (and some older) who like the new 52, Nightwing fans, dark Batman fans, and people who just like DC animated movies.
Can't wait to rewatch it.
