When do WE get to see this??

I am a die-hard fan of these books, and I don't say that lightly. I have been waiting for this movie for so so long (as have the rest of my fellow fans out there) and I know it was officially screened at a film festival like two weeks ago. I'm dying to know when this movie will actually be premiered and showed in movie theaters so I can calm my dying, impatient curiosity!

Anyone have any other info on this??

I wish I knew! I got to talk to Dan Wells at a convention last year, and have been waiting patiently ever since! I don't even know if this will see a big theater release but, I can't find anything on a DVD release either.

"We are an independent movie, which among other things means that we do not have a distributor capable of putting it into theaters. That’s why we’re here at SXSW–to show it off, build some buzz, and get a big studio with a big distributor interested in picking us up. If that happens, either here or at a future festival, then the movie could potentially be in theaters as early as next year. It would go to streaming services and DVD sometime after that. Yes, this means that you might have to wait a VERY long time to see it, and I’m sorry. Such is the glacial pace of filmmaking." - Dan Wells

Looks like this is finally getting released to digital streaming platforms. Keep your eyes open in the coming weeks. No word on a DVD release...

yep friday august 26, 2016 was the official VOD release. IFC films picked it up.

OK, then genius. Why don't you tell someone with a low bandwidth Internet connection and in a remote location how they are "killing this industry" by not watching this movie at the posh arthouse theatre easily accessible up the block via Uber? You twit.

people who can't afford media would simply not buy it. so i can see your film if you want and tell people about it and have them rent it on amazon or whatever, or i could just never watch it.

Hi,

This was released here in Australia 2 weeks ago on DVD. Although it was not the worst film I have seen this year it definitely is not the best. I was really looking forward to seeing after seeing the reviews here but was slightly let down. I find the movies I see that I haven't researched are usually the best as far as enjoyment goes. I deliberately have not looked up Rogue One for that fact.
