I'm on episode 3, and he says at one point that he was not involved in the death of his wife, but earlier on in the episode 1, I think it was, he says that he would like to let her mother know that he was complicit in the death of her daughter. So is he just being inconsistent now?
shareI think what he probably means is that his failures as a husband helped contribute to the situation where she died, but that he didn't kill her.
shareI read that as he felt complicit in the "unsolved" nature of his wife's disappearance. At another point in the documentary he plays off his strange behavior as an attempt to get the cops to leave him alone.
