What would the conclusion of the series have been if Durst didn't have the microphone still on when he went to the bathroom? While almost everybody would say that the cadaver note was written by him, Durst didn't admit it and Jareki didn't completely push him on it. Jareki is completely saved by the oversight by Durst. So what would he have done to end the mini-series without it?

sharewell he would of ended it differently obviously but instead lucked out and got the best ending ever possible for him
all series long you can pretty much tell "ehhh hes an interresting guy but ...he definitely did it.." and en that ending with the bathroom recordings proves basically EVERYthing, i cant even imagine the backflips and high fives jarecki and his crew did when they discovered the recording
I believe they originally didn't plan on The Jinx being several episodes, but it was something that just happened I guess. I don't think documentary makers go in with a huge idea on how it'll turn out in the end.
