What do u think really happened to his wife?

I saw the Kristen Dunst and Ryan Gosling movie about his life and I am fascinated by what really happened to his wife. What do you think he did to her?

I would love to know. Also, I was curious about the scene that suggests Susan Berman wore a blond wig to make it look like Kathie was boarding the train, is that based on anything in reality or was that made up entirely for the film?

I believe that Douglas killed her. It was an odd family dynamic and it isn't much of a stretch for me to think his brother had something to do with Kathy's disappearance. I just got a bad vibe from him

Bob killed her. Dismembered her. Stashed the body parts in Lake Truesdale and/or Pine Barrens/Atlantic Ocean.

reply

He killed her alright, but I think Black was his first attempt at dumping someone in water, judging by the fact that he actually thought the bags would sink. If he was that hamfisted in 2001, I somehow doubt that he was a criminal mastermind and body disposal expert in 1982. I think he disposed of the body on land.

Durst killed her. Chopped her up and hid the parts where nobody'd ever find them.

Robert heard through Susan that the mob lost bodies in the woods around that tiny town in Jersey. So, he probably buried her out in those woods somewhere.

reply

Going by his previous crime it's highly likely he shot her as it's his MO.

Did he also dismember her? Possibly. He didn't dismember Susan Berman, but on the other hand you get the feeling he liked her, which is why he wouldn't just let her lie there rotting. As for what he did with her? Well, the lake search yielded nothing, but it doesn't mean that it's not possible that he did dump her in the lake, just that they were unlucky in their search. It's also possible that he buried her.

Killed her, disposed of her body in the woods.

After hearing about Durst dressing up as a woman in Galveston, I wondered if he'd done it before with Kathie. Back at their apartment in NYC, the security guy said she'd come home from her weekend away, but the doorman said she didn't. What if it had been Durst, dressed to look like Kathie, who killed her, dumped her body, and then dressed in her clothes let himself back into their apartment? It'd look like she'd come home, and the timeline of her disappearance would be thrown way off.

Anyway. I think there's no doubt whatsoever that he killed her, even though there's no actual evidence for it.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
