Some would say that conscience is an innate sense of what is right and by fighting it you are always going to be doing wrong. That was said by the defense lawyer in the Galveston trial when Durst was found not guilty of murdering Morris Black. The jurors there must feel pretty bad about Durst later murdering Susan Berman after they freed him. Even he appeared in shock that he got away that one.
