Anti-feminist?

It's been several years since I've seen Innocence, so I can't really recall much about that film, other than I really enjoyed it of course... But did anyone get the feeling that Evolution was intended to be a commentary on feminism? I don't typically read sociopolitical meanings into works, but I found it hard not to with this one, especially considering the gender dynamics, the misleading of young males about their condition, and the only sympathetic female seemingly going against the norms of her species. I really wish I could remember Hadzihalilovic's previous work because it might be easier to determine her motivations, I think. Maybe not. I definitely need to rewatch both movies either way.
