was hoping it was all a metaphor
They had a great chance to make a body horror movie with strong symbolism, for a long time I was hoping she was just imagining things, and the transformation was a metaphor for her fear of having children, not being ready to marry, discovering she was pregnant etc. Or some statement about women and the society pressure in general. Too bad the filmmakers made it all literal. Dissapointed.
