Not really a horror movie at least not for me (spoilers)

The atmosphere that is mentioned for me is not really a scary one. The atmosphere I personally experienced from this film was one of austerity, sadness and inevitable failure (to survive). If you ignore the witch, evil goat and devil scene at the end you have a very sad story of an exiled family who are not going to make it.

Even the 'baby scene' was not really scary, just very sad. The reality is that baby could have died either way with the conditions they were in and was just one illness away from death.

This was actually such a sad movie. Seeing the two kids die and the family not only fearing a ''witch'' but fearing the winter and starvation.
