Felt like this film was a really mixed bag. From a technical standpoint it was very well directed and produced. Had a very creepy and unsettling vibe that really worked. However, the story was very weak as were the characters. I didn't care about anything that was going on.
Also the ending was complete shit.
More or less agree...I kinda like how the story was weak...gave you more time to enjoy the scenery...like a Robert Jordan novel.

shareYeah the movie was admittedly kind of a slow burn with me...I didn't realize how much I liked it until a few days after first seeing it... I have a lifelong fascination with New England and off grid living...so I do have a bias or two towards the movie.
