Yeah, imagine uneducated puritanical farmers from a time before computers, cars and knowledge of anything beyond their own country not knowing anything. How crazy. You are a true scientist sir, an astute observation well displayed.

There is by far crazier *beep* than this being done in the world in 2016 in the name of religion

In the name of religion? In the name of ideology...

were? they still are

reply

Exactly. People are still dumb today. Now we think that killing thousands of babies a day has no evil.

reply

It didn't take place 2 centuries ago.

Hahaha, I love the irony. It happens all the time, if you're going to call someone/something dumb, make sure you don't sound dumb while doing it.

Is it possible for one, in this scientific age, to shunned or banished for heresies of Political Incorrectness?

reply

The witch hunt mindset is still alive and well.

Even in the special features in the question-and-answer session the creator of the movie said that the movie was meant to be a metaphor for our time. You don't need to go back four centuries to see this type of insane behavior, a large percentage of the world still has the same medieval mindset.

In the here-and-now, the real dumb motherF&&s are the ones who can't tell the difference between "2 centuries ago" and "4 (four) centuries ago."

...the only takeaway from your post.

You are a person living in the 21st century, you have the advantage of the internet, computers, calculators and more access to the whole of human knowledge that any other point in history and you think that the 1630s was two centuries ago. Think about that for a moment. Take all the time you need.
