I know you read about it but its very disturbing watching it all acted out, those poor girls, I hate that he took a cowards way out and killed himself, I hope he is burning in hell tbh
shareI actually haven't. I knew about the news story and the girl went to the black guy after she got out and him dying; other than that nothing.

Well, I saw the movie through and am glad I did. Gotta tell you though, I'm glad they glossed over the torcher a bit (leastwise after the hogtying incident). I'm just coming off a brutal crossover Chicago Fire/Chicago PD/Law & Order SVU that left me drained, and that's a fictional show. I was so horrified at what they put a TV character through before her death that I just didn't think I had much left in me to watch real-life brutality. It's just so unexplainable how these girls managed to survive like they did without having to now be locked up in a mental hospital.

I'm just a half-hour into the movie and I'm not so sure I want to watch it. It's horrifying enough just to imagine what these girls went through. But to see it acted out just may be too much. My back hurts already just seeing Michelle hogtied in the air like that.
shareI think you should keep watching. Their acting is very real and one of the best real life portrayals lifetime has ever made into a movie.

I agree, and it also seems less exploitative than other movies like this they have made.
share^That's the thing. What was shown was hard to watch of course, but it didn't feel exploitative or like the filmmakers were beating you over the head with what had happened to them.
