I think the other girls were treated marginally better (not that it made a difference) but he had thought Michelle was younger when he took her so she was never a favorite. Also, he made her miscarry while he let Amanda have her baby and he loved the baby most of all. I think Michelle just needed to be on her own and go through her recovery on her own b/c she also had no family looking for her or ever happy she was alive. I am sure she had resentment over that, which is just natural human instinct. I believe she is probably working through that, and she always says one day she hopes to speak with them.

I got the impression from the get-go that Amanda & Gina thought they were better than Michelle because of the way they were treated by Castro and maybe they didn't get along as well with Michelle as they did with each other.
Michelle seems to have had it the worst.

I think at first the families of Amanda & Gina didn't want publicity but after seeing Michelle making money off her appearances and book they decided to tell the story of their horrible past to set the record straight about them and not just Michelle's version. It would be interesting to see a movie about them (their version). I would watch.

When I heard Castro had commited suicide I couldn't believe it but then he was a psycho and so were all his actions. Maybe since he's not in prison the women he terrorized feel safer & will heal faster. Although they may never get over some of things maybe it's easier to forget them and love the future they have now.
