Did Michelle really know Amanda before the kidnapping?
Michelle told Amanda that they had art together, is that true?
shareMichelle says she was in art class with Amanda, but that Amanda did not remember it. It would have had to have been in junior high, though, not high school; Amanda is exactly five years younger than Michelle and would not have been at John Marshall at the same time, since Michelle dropped out in 1999 when she became a mother. She was 18 then, and Amanda was only 13, not at John Marshall yet. But, in fall 1998, right before Michelle ran away, both she and Amanda were in 7th grade. It seems odd, as Amanda was 12, and Michelle was 17, but Michelle got held back a lot. When she returned from having run away, she got bumped up to 9th grade. Maybe they were in art class at Lincoln West in 7th grade.
