Best TV Ad placement EVER - 50 Shades of Grey...

during Cleveland Abduction where kidnapped women are chained/tied-up/hung in air and sexually assaulted. 

Way to know those demographics!!!!

Let's all flock to buy the 50 Shades DVD pronto...because aren't you horny after watching the movie.

I found that placement indefensible. It was so utterly wrong. I'm glad you mentioned it or I would have. Absolutely the wrong time and place.. c'mon!

reply

Now that you mention it, I can see why advertising that film may have been inappropriate. It didn't occur to me at the time though because I was just thinking that Jamie Dornan is hot. 

reply

That was the most idiotic thing to advertise during a movie like this!

reply

Very inappropriate! Way to use your heads, Lifetime.

It was kind of fitting actually. 50 Shades of Grey is about a controlling and abusive relationship and it romanticizes controlling and abusive relationships.

reply

The movie playing had ZERO to do with a consensual S&M relationship. I continue.. It was a bad placement.

I really hope this is a (bad) joke, because that was between two CONSENTING ADULTS, with a freaking contract of limits, for crying out loud. What part of that fits with being kidnapped, raped, and tortured?

reply

In S&M you have a safe word that tells the other person to stop if they are hurting you too much. This was torture pure and simple. It was not consensual.

When you find yourself with the majority
It's time to stop and go with the minority.

Thank you! Exactly what I was going to say. And yet I also agree it was poor placement.
