No Charles Ramsey

They made Charles Ramsey into an uncredited character. Dead Giveaway!

reply

Right they even gave a part to the FBI guy. And the other neighbors .

reply

Don't even get me started about this. I'm so angry, since he and only one other guy helped. The old neighborhood did not flock to the house and help her. And that lady certainly didn't open the door and say "Amanda,"? Maybe they didn't want to bring any humor to the movie and didn't show him very much, I don't know.

reply

It might be because the movie was based on Michelle's experience and she didn't see who actually ripped open the boards on the door. So they just put in all those characters as extras.

reply

When Michelle first entered the house she said hi to a black neighbor. I thought to myself, there's charles ramsey grilling ribs. But then I remembered that couldn't be him because in interviews he said he had only lived there the past year. Anyway, at least they had someone dreseed as him run to the door.

"We eat RIBS with this dude." 

reply

No, that's an old white guy in that scene when she first gets to the house. Even in the scene later when she's in the yard trying to get his attention, he just scurries in the house when AC starts hollering at Michelle.

reply

Yeah honestly, it ticked me off they didn't actually include him.

Charles Ramsey is in the movie for one second when the neighbors are trying to help Amanda get out. He runs up, and all you can see is the back of him. Of course they don't say it is Charles Ramsey, but the actor is meant to resemble him, I think.

reply

Yeah slipped a 0.5 second cameo shot of his likeness but It would've been nice of him to have a slightly bigger role. Like someone mentioned it's likely to keep the tone of the movie more serious.
