1 of lifetimes best

I would've preffered this movie to be a little bit longer (everything that happened in the 2nd hour was a little rushed), but overall, lifetime really hit the nail on the head w/ this movie. They had a string of embarassingly poor biopics (Aaliyah, Whitney & Brittany), but this...wow. The performances, esp from Taryn manning, who I was never a fan of before, deserve reconigiton (sp?). This is a story that deserved to be done right & it was. Much love to Michelle, Amanda & Gina. As for Ariel Castro, what a POS, hope he'll be in the depths of hell forever.

I agree with you on all your points. The biopics were horribly done. They also ruined the Flowers in the Attic series for me, those were soft porn versions of the books. However, this movie was well done. Very hard to watch and I'm sure what the girls lived was much, much worse. However, it helped me understand more about what these girls went through. Fantastic performances all!

I did not watch the flowers in the attic movies. I agree w/ you, this movie showed a small spec of what they went thru + at times, it was almost unbearable to watch, but truly made me understand better what they survived. I want to read their books...

For me the two worse scenes were the one with the puppy and then a little bit later than that, with the dumb bell.

I agree that this is a very strong movie for Lifetime and had great acting. It got me emotional and it takes a special movie to do that.

BTW, was anyone else saying "eff you" at the screen when Ariel showed up at the candlelight vigil for a girl he kept locked up?

I wanted it longer and to tell all 3 girls' stories, but otherwise it really was emotionally great
