I really wanted to like this movie (and aspects of it I did) but I felt like nothing really came together. The plot was interesting, the acting was decent, and the practical effects were great but the resulting film is just meh. I can't quite put my finger on it and I found it odd since cosmic horror is usually right up my alley. 6/10 for me.
shareNot that close. I thought that this movie is liked only by people who have seen big budgeted horror movies and thought "Hell, that was cool!. Practical effects!", but I was shocked when a friend recommended it to me, because he knows this stuff, mostly.
Why the fuck would somebody rip off Hellraiser and Fulci's The Beyond and make it worse? And I like Kostanski - his Astron-6 stuff, especially Manborg - but here he faceplanted and I facepalmed.
Probably yet another film designated as cult by reddit.
