Please include Deathlok!
Whether you like Agents of SHIELD or not (I DO), I feel a character like Deathlok could be awesome in Defenders.

+1 !
shareNot just him, but as many other cameos as possible. If there aren't at least 6 of them to match up to the usual Avengers team size, it'll be disappointing.
They could stand to add a few others like Punisher, maybe Blade, or even Ghost Rider now that Marvel Studios owns the rights to them again.
Adding those would be very nice!

Deathlok would be nice.
shareAs long as Ghost Rider isn't destroyed then I'm okay! Blade would be cool to see in the MCU
shareYeah definitely hoping to see DL on this.
Can't wait for The Defenders to air on Netflix.
If it's half as good as DD, it's going to be awesome.

You better leave my town.
At least a Deathlok cameo or few episode crossover would be really nice
shareYou guys are dreaming way too big.
Yes those are all Marvel characters, however until 2006 (development of the MCU), Marvel used to license the characters and franchises to movie studios, rather than making their own movies.
ABC, Universal, 20th Fox, Sony, and some other studios have various rights to several character and entire franchises, that is why crossovers across studios are virtually impossible.
In 2006 Marvel created their own Film studio called Marvel Studios, which is responsible for all the MCU movies. Ever since this huge success with the MCU movies, Marvel is trying to buy back the rights from those Studios, unfortunately they want millions and some studios still have the right for decades to come. (X-Men, Spiderman, Fantastic 4)
In Age of Ultron they managed to used Quicksilver, but Fox currently owns the rights to X-Men, so Fox didn't allow that the same Actor be used in the Avengers movie. (Unless they pay a huge lump sum, which didn't make any financial sense).
Fun fact, Marvel wanted to purchase back the rights for Fantastic 4 from Fox, but Fox insisted they have a great script and director, and they will manage to make a great reboot of Fantastic 4. - We all know how that went in 2015.
Sony owns the right on Spiderman since 1999. Marvel Studio however managed to make an exclusive deal for the captain america Civil war movie, so that they could use Spiderman.
The good thing, ABC is owned by Disney and so is Marvel itself. For that reason, they were able to make Agents of Shield Series, with same characters and actors as the MCU movies.
If this can be done with Netflix and MCU/Agents of Shields, has to be seen. But it's not as easy as 1-2-3. It's all about money money and licensing.
That's not correct.
Marvel retained TV rights to all of their characters. They only gave away their movie rights. That is why they have been able to have such a variety of characters on their TV cartoon shows.
If Marvel wanted to, they could have an X-Men TV series. Except for Spider-Man, however, they have largely tried to use the TV cartoon shows to promote their movie franchises. But Deadpool has appeared on several occasions on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon show. They have tried not to use the cartoon shows to popularize characters in franchises owned by other networks.
I'm surprised somebody remembers that character. +1
Perhaps feature him more often in SHIELD.
shareYeah he is definately under-utilized in AOS. Would be cool to see him on another show or in more episodes of AOS
