shareBelieve it or not that's pretty much what makes it so great. NYC is in great danger from potentially The Hand (which seems to be the popular speculation) and the only thing that can protect us are a handful of misfits. Nick Fury basically said in the first Avengers that many of these people were unhinged and unbalanced, clearly these are the more unhinged and unbalanced ones and that's what makes it so great. If anything this is the ultimate underdog story.
