We better get a cameo from one of the Avengers...

Hell I'll take an Agent of SHIELD at this point, somebody crossover something at this point! It's getting ridiculous.

reply

I agree. we need crossover.

reply

People complain when crossovers happen and people complain when they don't.

The Netflix heroes are street level they don't care to mingle with Avengers. People that work in the MCU have said it is unlikely.

Also if Stark found Parker/Spider-Man quickly with a satellite, you know he can easily find the Netflix people. The thing is he does not care too, the Avengers don't deal with mob bosses and drug lords. That is not what they do.

Still the difference between "street level" and "Avengers level" seems pretty minimal. So far "street level" has included magic ninjas, super soldier programs, mind controlling megalomaniacs, and a plan to unify all the crime in New York. Where's the difference?

reply

And the Avengers have featured gods, alien invasions, cosmic artifacts that grant powers, and plans for global extinction. There is a huge difference.

HYDRA is probably the "weakest" threat the Avengers have faced and even they came close ot taking over the world several times and have a small army.

reply

The show is kind of a big deal, I feel like some kind of cameo I feel is warranted.

reply

I wouldn't mind a cameo from someone in SHIELD or at least a shoutout to it. This sort of thing seems more their speed than the Avengers. Especially since the Avengers are currently disbanded and most of the heroes are on the run after the events of Civil War.

reply

Ugh no, keep that trash AoS out of it please.

reply

I get that they are building their own thing on Netflix and not doing some corny spinoff like AoS that tries to feed of the crumbs of the MCU films. But they called it the MCU. They don't have to cross things over straight away, but after 6 series it's going to be high time.

reply

I came here to say, they should give Tom Holland a cameo, because Spider-Man has always been a 'Street Level' hero, and he operates in New York... Although, with the whole Jon Bernthal/Tom Holland audition tapes, I'd like to see an adaption of Amazing Spider-Man #129.

reply

I think I read once that the deal with Sony doesn't allow Marvel to include Spider-Man in the tv shows. Not sure of the validity to that, but it's a shame since it'd make the most sense. My guess is that if a movie/Agents of SHIELD character doesn't cameo at all by the time The Defenders is over that it probably means a crossover isn't gonna happen. A part from B.S. contract stuff with the movie studio and the tv studio, I can see Marvel not wanting kids stumbling upon a guy getting his head chopped off with a car door on their way to see Spider-Man help out Daredevil.

reply

I figure The Defenders will start crossing paths with The Avengers and other MCU heroes in the 4th Avengers, which is said to be the end of one book in the MCU and the opening for another volume.

reply

Banner/Hulk and Dr. Strange should make cameos since they were mainstays of the original Defenders, but Im not counting on it.

reply

Name drops is probably as good as things will get, maybe a photo or two.

reply

I don't want one crossover. Not one. Keep them separate.
