so what's the story behind Netflix and Marvel?
how did their partnership come to be? how did they pick the 4 heroes to be brought to television as opposed to giving them a film release?
shareYou only need to looke at Marvel's release schedule. They didn't have room for films for these characters. They are also "street level" and wouldn't necessarily work as movies in the MCU. With the exception of Captain America, all of the characters with solo movies are high powered superheroes who fight battles for the earth.
I guess Netflix just made sense because of the flexibility. Scheduling 4 different series on a major network would be complicated and risky. Netflix can kind of make it up as they go along.
