I actually thought that Megan was one of those "pure" characters who would persist as Kyle's normal supporter. So I'm furious that the powers that be behind Outcast chose to make her the next possessed person AND to kill off Mark.
For me to stick with a show, I need to care about the major characters and with tonight's happenings I'm totally disgusted! This is probably the last time I'll watch this show.
The point is that everyone other than outcasts are susceptible to possession. Nobody is safe. Why hold what she did to Mark against her? It's not her that did it. It's the thing inside her. I did find it strange that he was killed, though. He doesn't die when she goes dark in the comic book; he is just nearly paralyzed.
I agree, so far I've been waiting for that episode that lights a fire to the plot instead we get episode 9, an all around turn-off imo. This show is going on the back burner for a while as I watch a few eps at a time, but as of right now, character wise, this show has collapsed in on itself. Having her "turn" and kill the hubby was just repulsive to me.
I'm really starting to not even care to find out wtf exactly these things are and I am a huge fan of slow burn shows, I hate procedural shows, but this show is just blah to me at this point. I suppose I can't love em all, but I'm still disappointed though as I had decently high expectations/hopes for this show.
I don't get why people were so surprised that Megan got possessed. They've been banging it into your heads for a few episodes now that the black goop entities are attracted to Kyle like moths to a light, and that since they can't possess him they possess the people around him. They've practically been shouting at the top of their lungs that another person close to him will be possessed.
Who is closer to him than Megan? She was the only person who stuck by him after the incident with his wife. In hindsight, it should be obvious she was going to be possessed.

Indeed. It shouldn't be surprising. I admit I was still shocked though.
Isn't it too terrible? after all she's been through?, now something like that?, killing her own (lovely) husband?. Poor Megan, it's just too much :(

This was also one issue in the comic book, and it leads to a new revelation. But it wasn't stretched out over two episodes :( The show dilutes the story way too much and turns the two heros into chumps and pansies. Mark doesn't die in the comic book either, but is paralyzed.
PS: Oh god they will make that minor revelation the season finale. Man this show really sucks as an adaptation :/ I like the premise but they should really tighten it up.
She was/is possessed; it wasn't the real Megan that did it. It really showed how the demons are taking over as many bodies as they can and it doesn't matter who once owned them.
