Question about the Rake (spoilers)

When she finially takes a rake, she signals to her dealer to pull 200k in chips out of the pot on a HUGE pot.

Wouldn’t the guys at the table be pissed or at least say something for her to take a rake out of nowhere for the very first time?

I would expect one guy to at least say to the dealer “what are you doing? That’s part of the pot!” Or someone to say “wtf you’re taking a rake all of the sudden on the biggest hand of the night?!?!??”

You are correct; that is a major mistake, unless the film is suggesting that the dealer was able to take the chips unnoticed. If so, she wasn't very stealthy about it.

If you're playing a huge multi-million dollar pot, I doubt your attention is going to be on the dealer collecting some rake, which is something to be expected in these games.

I agree that it's not something you would bring up in the middle of a massive pot, but you're certainly going to notice a rake in a game that never had a rake before. It would come up as soon as the hand was over.

I'm not sure it was advertised as a rake-free game. Its not mentioned anywhere that they emphasized no rake in those games. It was just used in her defense to the feds. So it would't even make sense to include someting like that in the movie, the movie was long enough.

Personally I'm not sure how entirely truthful her side of the story was. For instance, when she started rake collecting, her relationship with the Russians, and the time she was attacked and robbed at her apartment. She said she was a drug addict at the time, she might've been trusting a lot of bad people.
