They either have to play themselves or not have them in the movie. I mean, can you imagine another actor playing the true life version of another actor in his prime? It would be a first in cinema I think. The only thing that comes close is Julia Roberts fictional character in Oceans 11 playing as Julia Roberts in that one scene and John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich.

In the scene where they were talking about movie rights to her book, I was expecting her to say something about how she wants Jessica Chastain to play her.
