Have seen the rough cut of the movie. It is amazing story and brilliantly acted by all the actors. But I believe Cillian & Dornan haters will come here to trash this. Anyway both are amazing in BCC2 series Peaky Blinder & The Fall. I have never see any bad preformance by Cillain. Waiting to see the final cut of the movie in threats.
I really appreciate Cillian as an actor, as well. Have watched him for many years and, yes, have never seen him turn in a bad acting job.
Had the privilege and sheer luck to see him on stage in his one-man play "Misterman" at the Galway festival a few years ago. It takes real guts to do a solo performance play! Wow.
Happened to be in Galway then and quickly realized he was doing the play first there and scrambled to get a ticket.
After that, realized he was going to premiere the new play "Ballyturk" with the great Steven Rae in a subsequent year, so went out of my way to get back to see that.
There's something about seeing plays in their premiere runs that is very special. Galway seems to be a good place to for plays to try themselves out before traveling on to the big venues.
Murphy is stunning on stage. I try never to miss one of his films.
I am looking forward to cut version of Anthropoid as well. I am huge fan of Cillian since Batman begin. Never miss his movie since then & totally hook to Peaky blinders on Netflix.
I'd love to see him on stage too, but I don't think he would draw here in the US. Although I think I heard a long time back that Misterman played in NY. Don't know if it's true or not. I don't like to see him in lead parts (which are far and few between) because I'm distracted the whole time by his eyes. But he's great in ensembles (Inception, Sunshine) and the BBC series too.
Does Jamie die in this movie? I was wondering because I know the person he's playing died while he was in action. If so how does it play out in the movie?
