She would have gotten an indication they were on to her. If she panicked that was why.
She was a real person and active in the resistance, she did not just flip out because she suddenly saw a Nazi, they were well entrenched in the city. Clearly she was used to rubbing shoulders with them.
As a poster said below she died in a camp a few months later. Personally I do not know when she was apprehended. Based on the fact that we know there was at least one trader that talked and others who talked under torture, it isn't difficult to imagine that the Germans were looking for her specifically.
