Cillian, always got a cigarette in his mouth just like in Peaky Blinders
Good movie.
7.5/10
Eh too many cigs imo. Didnt actually bother me but they're just such an "easy" accessory for actors.
shareYes...many many cigarettes in this film, but I think in the 40s cigarettes were largely used, especially by men, or by "fashionable" women.
Smokers % was very high till the 70s.

Yeah you guys are right, it is fitting. I didn't think about that when I made my comment. I'm glad times have mostly changed though lol.
shareI KNOW!!!! All the parachuters in that bunch struggled with nervousness, his character attached it self to cigarettes!
Big a55 chain smoker!
I gave this movie a 10
Can attest many people smoked back then. My own grand dad returned from that war chain-smoking filter-less cigarettes. He died from lung cancer in the 60-ties. The war got him in the end.
shareMy Uncle came back from war as a chain-smoker of filter-less cigarettes as well. The year he died he was smoking 6 packs per day! He was a mess and was also a casualty 25 years after the war ended. It is sad ... he went over just after finishing law school and getting married. They never had kids.
That my friends is our Greatest Generation!
